Vietnam Large Cattle Breeding Association held a seminar “Vietnam’s large livestock industry is proactive and ready for ASEAN and TPP integration”

In the framework of ILDEX 2016, on March 25, 2016, at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center SECC (799 Nguyen Van Linh, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City), Livestock Association Large cattle in Vietnam organized a seminar "Vietnam's large livestock industry is proactive and ready for Asean integration and TPP"

The seminar attracted a large number of participants from state management agencies, enterprises operating in the livestock industry at home and abroad, scientists, farm owners... and many more. other organizations and individuals interested in this topic. In total, there were 11 reports on a variety of topics and a great deal of quality discussion during the Conference.

The opening ceremony of the Conference was a speech by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Hoang Kim Giao, Former Director of the Department of Livestock Production, Chairman of the Vietnam Large Cattle Breeding Association, on behalf of the conference organizing committee to welcome the participants. Guests and delegates came to the Conference and actively shared their views, contributed to discussions and discussions to make the Conference a great success.

Right after the opening of the Conference, Dr. Le Van Thong, director of the Central Large Cattle Breeding Center, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Large Cattle Association, presented the Main Report at the Conference: “Sustainable development of dairy cattle production before ASEAN integration and TPP”. The report has talked about the main issues about the impact of ASEAN Integration and TPP on the economy in general and Vietnam's dairy industry in particular, and proposed some key solutions to develop livestock production. raising dairy cows for beef before the integration of ASEAN and TPP, besides that, Dr. Thong said what the Central Large Cattle Breeding Center will do to contribute to the development of dairy cows and beef cattle before the integration of ASEAN and TPP.

Following Dr. Le Van Thong's main report are reports on: “Development of high-tech dairy farming by TH True Milk Group”  by Mr. Ngo Tien Dung, Director of Training and Technology Transfer, TH Dairy Food Joint Stock Company; “Why Choose Jersey Dairy Cows” presented by Mr. Keith Long – Director of the Office of International Marketing of the US Department of Agriculture,  “The dairy industry as a tool for sustainable development: Israel's experience” by Mr. Daniel Werner – project and special program director, China presented by the Center for International Agricultural Development Cooperation (CINADCO); “Antibodies – Igno improve disease resistance, survival rate and reproductive performance of calves” by Mr. Nguyen Quang Thong – Technical Director of the Company CTCBIO Vietnam Joint Stock Company presents; “Current status of goat farming development and potential when integrating into TPP” ; “Developing a system of services and products to support the large livestock industry in Vietnam”, by Mr. Luu Hung Son, General Director of Dairy Cow One Member Co., Ltd. Asia - Pacific , Vice President in charge of Southern Region of Vietnam Large Cattle Breeding Association presented, “How to provide suitable nutritional feed for dairy cows”  presented by Mr. Phan Van Danh, Vice Chairman of Australian Overseas Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Association; “Application of Yeast Products in Dairy Cows”, presented by Mr. Brett Ruth – General Director of Ruth Consolidated Industries; “Sustainable development of dairy industry in Vietnam” by Mr. Arie Veldhuizen, Agricultural Counselor in charge of Vietnam and Thailand, Embassy Presented by the Netherlands; “Several solutions for the sustainable development of Vietnam's beef industry on the eve of WTO and TPP integration” by Dr. Tang Xuan Luu, Director of the Center for Cow Research and Ba Vi grassland presented.

The seminar ended at 4:00 p.m. on the same day, with high-quality reports of the speakers and discussions, the workshop made a great contribution, creating more open opportunities for exchange and learning. between scientists, businesses, and individual organizations operating in the large livestock industry, as well as proposing many solutions to develop the large livestock industry, actively ready to integrate into ASEAN and TPP.
